Nude youth seated facing forward with legs spread, the soles of his feet placed together, resting his right hand on his hip and holding a bird by the neck with his left hand, which is standing to right; all within incuse square. Jeselsohn 211-212. Meshorer & Qedar 121. Extremely rare and with a very interesting reverse type. Darkly toned. Slightly rough, otherwise, very fine.

Meshorer & Qedar interpret this unusual reverse type as showing a temple boy, perhaps in the act of sacrificing the bird.
